Ghanaian doughnut recipe

Ingredients

  • 613g Self-raising flour
  • 150g Sugar
  • 150g Butter
  • 150ml Milk
  • 3 medium size eggs
  • 2 tsp Baking powder
  • 3 tsp Vanilla essence
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • A pinch of salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Place all your dry ingredients into a bowl
  2. Add the butter and mix thoroughly
  3. Make a hole in the middle and pour your milk into your mixture.
  4. Mix thoroughly until everything is incorporated.
  5. Your batter should be smooth and thick for scooping.
  6. Pour your oil into a sauce pan and place on a medium heat.
  7. You can use your hand to scoop the batter or use a melon baller.
  8. Turn the ball over repeatedly and fry until it is golden brown for about 5minutes.
